Established in 2000 by Charles O’Connor, a renowned Chartered Accountant, Charles O’Connor and Associates has established itself as a catalyst for change within the Audit and Accounting industry.
Led by Managing Partner Charles O’Connor, a distinguished Chartered Accountant, Registered Public Accountant, and Practising Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ), our firm boasts over 20 years of direct Audit experience.
Our firm specializes in auditing major government agencies and public-private sector partnerships, including large-scale housing development projects with expenditures in the tens of billions of Jamaican dollars.
We leverage cutting-edge technology, combined with experienced professionals and strict adherence to International Standards on Auditing (ISAs), to maintain our position as a leading local firm.
Charles O’Connor brings a wealth of experience from both public and private sectors, having served in key roles such as Debt Management Unit Director at the Ministry of Finance and The Public Service, and GM Finance and Planning at the Transport Authority.
Located in the heart of Kingston, our offices serve a growing client base of over fifty companies across Jamaica.
Our firm offers year-round audit, accounting, and tax compliance services to private sector companies and Government agencies alike.
All audits conducted by Charles O’Connor and Associates adhere strictly to International Standards on Auditing (ISA) for limited liability companies (private/public) and Statutory Bodies, as well as International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) for certain public sector entities.
Trained by the Norman Manley Law School as an Insolvency Practitioner, Charles is a licensed Insolvency Trustee/Practitioner, well-versed in the provisions of the FAA Act, PBMA Act, and GOJ procurement guidelines.
